1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by The Oriel Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) and all purchases made through it.

By accessing this website or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our:

If you do not agree, you must not use this website or place an order.

2. Eligibility

By using this website, you confirm that:

  • You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;

3. Made-to-Order Manufacturing

All products sold by The Oriel Studio — including pre-designed models and bespoke commissions — are manufactured or prepared to order following confirmation of purchase.

Production begins upon order acceptance and clearance of payment.

Once production has commenced:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled;

  • No refunds are available for change of mind;

  • Cooling-off rights do not apply to made-to-order goods under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.

You expressly acknowledge that you are purchasing goods manufactured specifically for your order.

4. Orders & Acceptance

An order placed via our website constitutes an offer to purchase.

A legally binding contract is formed only when:

  • We confirm acceptance of your order; and

  • Payment has been successfully processed.

We reserve the right to:

  • Decline any order at our discretion;

  • Cancel orders due to pricing or specification errors;

  • Refuse service where we reasonably believe misuse or risk exists.

5. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in GBP (£). VAT will be charged where applicable.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time prior to acceptance of an order.

You confirm that:

  • You are authorised to use the payment method provided;

  • All billing information is accurate.

Failure of payment authorisation may result in order cancellation.

6. Measurements & Customer Responsibility

The customer is solely responsible for:

  • Accuracy of all measurements supplied;

  • Structural suitability of the property;

  • Obtaining planning permission or regulatory approval;

  • Compliance with building regulations;

  • Ensuring adequate structural support.

The Oriel Studio shall not be liable for:

  • Incorrect measurements provided by the customer;

  • Structural incompatibility;

  • Inadequate support or load-bearing capacity;

  • Property movement or subsidence;

  • Pre-existing structural defects.

No refund, repair, or replacement shall be provided where issues arise from inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

7. Installation (Where Applicable)

Where installation services are provided:

  • Safe and reasonable site access must be ensured;

  • The site must be structurally prepared and compliant with safety standards.

We shall not be liable for:

  • Hidden structural defects;

  • Damage to finishes, plaster, render, or decoration;

  • Pre-existing site conditions;

  • Delays caused by site unpreparedness.

Where installation is carried out by third parties, we accept no liability for:

  • Improper installation;

  • Sealant failure;

  • Glass breakage during fitting;

  • Structural damage caused by installers.

8. Product Tolerances & Variations

Due to the nature of glazing and structural fabrication:

  • Minor dimensional tolerances apply;

  • Visual variations may occur;

  • Natural expansion and contraction may occur;

  • Differences in screen colour representation may occur.

Such variations do not constitute defects.

9. Delivery & Risk

Risk in the goods passes upon delivery to the address specified in the order.

We are not liable for:

  • Courier delays;

  • Access issues;

  • Storage costs due to failed delivery;

  • Loss arising after delivery.

The customer is responsible for safe storage prior to installation.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.

Subject to this:

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total purchase price of the specific product in question.

  • We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.

  • We shall not be liable for loss of profit, rental income, contractor costs, project delay costs, business interruption, or financing losses.

  • We shall not be liable for third-party labour or removal costs unless expressly agreed in writing.

Under no circumstances shall liability exceed the price paid for the goods supplied.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delay or failure in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Supply chain disruption;

  • Labour shortages;

  • Industrial action;

  • Transport delays;

  • Government restrictions;

  • Natural disasters.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, product designs, technical drawings, architectural renders, and branding — is the property of The Oriel Studio or its licensors.

Unauthorised copying, reproduction, distribution, scraping, or commercial use is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

13. Website Use
